Client: Libra Speciality Chemicals Ltd
Location: Manchester
Scope of Works:
Supplied and installed a bespoke internal scaffold within a top-entry process tank to support planned maintenance on internal machinery. The scaffold provided a safe and stable platform, enabling engineers to carry out servicing and inspection works efficiently.
Challenges:
The project involved working within a top-entry confined space at Libra Speciality Chemicals’ Manchester facility. Access was restricted to a single hatch point, and the scaffold needed to be carefully designed around fixed internal equipment. All activities were required to meet strict site safety and operational standards, with minimal impact on ongoing site activities.
Our Solution:
Our confined space-trained operatives accessed the tank using approved top-entry procedures and constructed a tailored scaffold to suit the internal layout. The scaffold ensured safe access to all required areas while avoiding contact with sensitive machinery.
All works were delivered in full compliance with confined space regulations and site-specific protocols. Close collaboration with Libra’s safety team ensured the project was completed safely, on schedule, and without disruption to site operations.
