Client: Marstrut Ltd Location: Bolton Royal Hospital & Burnley Hospital
Scope of Works:
Supplied and installed 6.5-tonne rated scaffold loading bays at both sites, with a Haki staircase included at Burnley, to facilitate the removal and installation of new MRI machines.
Challenges:
Working within live hospital environments required careful planning to avoid any disruption to hospital operations. The equipment being installed was extremely heavy and fragile, and a standard 1-tonne loading bay would not have been sufficient. To ensure everything was fully supported and safe, we provided loading bays specifically built to handle loads up to 6.5 tonnes.
Our Solution:
We designed and erected heavy-duty loading bays capable of supporting the MRI equipment safely and efficiently. At Burnley, a Haki staircase was integrated into the scaffold to provide safe access for operatives during the works. Our team coordinated closely with site managers to ensure the scaffolds were installed within tight schedules, with no impact on hospital services. Both projects were completed safely, on time, and to full specification.
